Shipping from a Chinese supplier straight into Amazon's fulfilment network has strict rules — get the labels, cartons or appointment wrong and Amazon refuses the shipment. Here's the step-by-step process we run for FBA sellers, start to finish.
The 7 Steps
- Create the shipping plan in Seller Central — this generates your FNSKU labels and the destination FC(s).
- Prep & label at the factory — FNSKU on every unit, carton labels on every box, poly-bag/suffocation and bundle requirements met.
- Pickup & export clearance in China — we collect from your supplier and clear export.
- Choose the mode — air/express for speed, sea for cost (see shipping cost guide).
- Import clearance & duty — ship DDP so duty and VAT/GST are pre-paid; Amazon will not act as importer of record.
- Delivery & appointment booking — we book the FC delivery appointment and deliver on a compliant vehicle.
- Check-in — cargo is scanned into FBA and goes live.
The Mistakes That Get Shipments Rejected
Wrong or missing FNSKU labels, oversized/overweight cartons, missing appointment, or shipping DDU so the carton is stuck at customs. We cover these in detail in 5 Amazon FBA first-mile mistakes.
Why DDP Matters for FBA
Amazon is not your importer of record and won't pay duty. On a DDU shipment you must appoint your own broker — a common cause of stuck cargo. DDP makes the forwarder responsible end-to-end, so the carton arrives at the FC clean. See DDP vs DDU.
Which Marketplaces
We ship FBA first-mile to the USA, UK, Germany/EU, Canada and Australia — with the right labelling and customs setup for each.
Bottom Line
FBA success is 90% prep and customs. Generate the plan, label correctly at the factory, ship DDP, and book the appointment. Send us your shipment plan and we'll handle first-mile end-to-end — get a quote, or see our Amazon FBA service.
